When it comes to car safety, you’ve not only to correct your actions but also have to keep an eye on others on road. Many of other drivers on road will be driving in an unsafe manner, and you assume that all of them are driving unsafe, and you’ve to be safe.
Speeding, cutting in and out of lanes, improperly passing, paying more attention to the radio than to the road, etc are some common observations on road. You might also have observed people trying to drive while eating or talking on a cell phone. These are the concerns where you’re completely helpless; you really cannot control any of these. So, all you’re left with is ‘defensive driving’.
While driving on a busy highway or a calm road, assume that all others are either blind or don’t know driving, and you’ve to keep yourself and your car safe. Staying alert and having precautionary measures doesn’t have any drawback but lacking these may cause a great remorse.
